If you wish to return to the Cable Mill area, turn here and go back across the Cove. Indian trails from the south joined here, crossing the Cove and the mountain into Tuckaleechee Cove. Hyatt Lane -- named for a family from Haywood County, North Carolina who lived on the lane in the 1830s -- follows the Indian trace across the Cove.
